Like most other longtime Adobe customers, I am sickened by Adobe's greed with their Creative Cloud subscription model. Anybody check Adobe for an update? Great app, but very expensive. Egami Nov 28 While it could use some improvement in terms of performance, along with a bit of UI love I find Fireworks to be an incredible app and when it comes to web design, to this day, there simply is no application that can match it in terms of features and overall workflow. I switched from doing websites in Photoshop to doing them in Fireworks and I can't imagine doing it otherwise now.

Orion-Mk-V Apr 28 I'll update FW and put it through it's paces, but Adobe lost me as a Fireworks user when they didn't address stability issues -- I have to be able to rely on software. I'm actually a little surprised that they didn't decide to fix these bugs only in CS5.
Noboruwatanabe Apr 17 Sad piece of software from a deeply sad company. I wouldn't consider it an alpha release, but apparently adobe only cares about your money, so instead of trying to bring this to a beta stage with some bug fixes , they repack it in the CS5 version and try to sell it to you again, same old garbage. It crashes continuously on my Snow Leopard so I had to look around for alternatives and I've recently found a little gem called DrawIt from Bohemian Coding, it costs close to nothing and it is growing to become a valid alternative to fireworks.
I really hope Adobe continues to go forward with their flash only focused business strategy of a second or even third class software company or should I say marketing to see them out of business soon. I still remember when macromedia was innovating web design. Maclover Jan 15 This is how pathetic it is at this point. I cannot believe Adobe is doing this to its Mac customers. That should s'go directly to court. The only good thing I use it for at this point is for crunching jpg's.
This thing has been bugging.. It was lagging with even the smallest of files in Leopard and worse in Snow Curdaneta May 6 Guest Nov 9 Guest Jun 23 As a Fireworks MX user, I was curious to see if the new upgrade was worth going for Small annoying glitches, topped off by erratic mouse selection which I checked against the finder and last years MX version told me that I made the right decision not to upgrade.
